Privacy Policy

Beauty Timer ("we", "our", or "the app") is a cosmetics expiry tracker developed by QBasti. This privacy policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or login credentials. The app does not require an account.

The app stores the following data locally on your device and, if enabled, in your private iCloud account:

Product names, types, opening dates, and expiry dates you enter
App preferences (language, theme, highlight color)
Premium status (earned through rewarded ads)

This data is never sent to our servers. iCloud sync is handled entirely by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

2. Camera Access

The app requests camera access solely to scan barcodes when adding products. Images from the camera are processed on-device and are never stored, uploaded, or shared.

3. Notifications

With your permission, the app sends local notifications to remind you about expiring products. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external server.

4. Advertising

The free version of the app displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use certain data to serve ads, including:

Device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID / IDFA)
IP address (for approximate location/region)
Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)
Device information (model, OS version, screen size)

5. Your Consent Choices

Before ads are shown, the app asks for your consent:

Consent form (GDPR) — If you are in the EU/EEA, a consent dialog lets you choose whether to allow personalized ads, non-personalized ads, or no ads. You can change this choice anytime in the app's Settings under "Ad preferences".
App Tracking Transparency (ATT) — On iOS 14.5 and later, the app asks your permission before accessing the device's Advertising ID. If you decline, ads will still be shown but will not be personalized.

If you deny consent, the app will not display ads and no advertising data will be collected.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. The only third-party service integrated in the app is Google AdMob, as described above.

7. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

All product data is stored locally on your device and in your private iCloud account. You can delete individual products within the app or delete all app data by uninstalling the app. To remove iCloud data, go to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Storage on your device.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this URL. We encourage you to review it periodically.
